LED Lighting with High (CRI) Color Rendering Index and R9 ratings. Polar-Ray.com offers many LED light bulbs and LED fixtures rated with a CRI of 90 or greater. High CRI ratings are the preferred choice for residential, retail and hospitality applications where greater color accuracy is important. Color rendering is most accurate when the LED light bulb or fixture has both a high CRI and a R9 rating of 50 or greater. Objects and skin color can appear unnatural or washed out under lamps with low CRI of less than 80. One reason CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lighting) is unpopular is because of it’s low CRI / R9 ratings.
