Description:

The Toshiba E-Core LED PAR20 is a high quality 120 VAC LED replacement lamp. The PAR20 is a highly efficient LED lamp which uses only 9 watts of energy, significantly reducing your carbon footprint while maintaining a very high quality of light. The PAR20 has an Edison medium E26 base, which makes it ideal for retail lighting, museum lighting, hospitality lighting, accent lighting, recessed lighting, and architectural lighting. All Toshiba E-Core LED products have been manufactured in accordance with RoHS standards, and unlike compact fluorescent products, E-Core lamps contain no mercury.

How to tell the size of the PAR LED bulb you want to replace: The number following the PAR designation relates to the bulbs diameter in an unusual way. It represents the number of eights of an inch (1/8) that compromise the diameter of the bulb. For instance, a PAR38 LED bulb measures 4.75 inches in diameter (38/8 = 4.75). Or a PAR16 LED bulb measures 2 inches in diameter (16/8 = 2). This is a useful tip when the bulb you are trying to replace doesnt have markings indicating what size of PAR bulb it is.

	best reasonably priced LED
	The Toshiba LED bulbs seem to be the best in their price range and at the 2700k color are very acceptable and don't stand out as very different than incandescents. The 2700k is closer to a halogen bulb, a 3100k is what they say a halogen is, but the LED bulbs seem to need to be at 2700k to approach 3000k. When I have switched to all Toshiba LED bulbs, I will be all the way happy with the color and brightness,

	Bulbs Ok but not perfect
	The beam spot pattern is tighter than on conventional tungsten based bulbs. They also require several seconds to turn on, which is a bit disconcerting at first. Finally due the heat sinks they are quite heavy, and can cause the fixtures to fall from their pointing angles if the elbows aren't tight. They do dim without flickering however. So I give these a three star.

	The best par20 LEDs to date
	These lights are better than the others for 2 or 3 reasons. Most importantly, they are the same size as my old Sylvania halogens, so they do not protrude from the can light housing much. Also, the light color for the 2700k (warm) version nearly matches my old halogens. Finally, the light output from the 55w equiv. nearly matches the old 50 watt sylvania halogens. The price is still high, but probably worth it if you use the room for than a few hours per day.

	Good, solid performer.
	I had to replace other dimmable LEDs because those didn't dim right -flickering, etc. These don't - solid all the way to incredibly dim - sweet! The color is good, full-on output is a touch dim, beam spread is a touch narrow compared to similar halogens. All-in-all, if I had other PAR20s to replace, I'd definitely get these again.
