Description:

The ENERGY STAR^® qualified Philips LED A19 bulb is a perfect replacement for a standard 60 watt A19 incandescent bulb with 800 lumens. The unique design of this bulb allows for the color of the light and beam spread to closely imitate an incandescent bulb while using only 12 watts of power. The remote phospor technology gives the bulb a yellow appearance while off yet produces a warm white color temperature that is very pleasing to the eye when turned on. LED light bulbs such as the Philips AmbientLED A19 emit virtually no UV or IR radiation and may reduce color fading when used in certain applications. Other features include: instant-on, dimming capability to 10% of maximum brightness, a 25,000 hour life and a 6 year warranty.

	Best A19 LEDs for most use
	Yes, the yellow color of the bulb is weird when they are off. But these bulbs make up for it by producing a very nice quality light and are able to produce light in the direction of the socket. This is needed for table lamps that you'd like to read by--many LED lights have such big heat sinks in the base that they only throw light upwards.

	Sure beats CFL
	In general I use a lot of X10 type controls for security. These bulbs function flawlessly. No warmup time. This bulb in particular got the color right. Polar-Ray got them here promptly. My only concern is if the theaves will start grabbing them if they are easy to get at.

	Philips Ambient LED Dimmable A19 LED Bulb
	I purchased two to be used in a fan/light fixture w/ remote control. The bulb flickers on full power;dimming it down stops the flicker. The fan model was developed prior to LED lighting. Be sure to check into this if your circumstances match mine. Otherwise I love these bulbs. Will eventually replace all light bulbs with these in the future (when I can afford them).

	Best LED available
	This first of its kind Energy Star rated 60W equivalent really does live up to all the hype. I switched all our household table lamps and couldn't be happier. I have a hard time knowing what Kelvin rating will work best where. This bulb put off a nice warm white, great for reading or sitting back and enjoying the fire. Only negative is that it doesn't throw enough light in enough directions to make it work in a vanity

	Good 60W replacement
	I bought some of these for high use areas (bath vanities) in a new construction. They aren't on dimmers so I can't comment on that. The light output is very good. I'm using them in fixtures that hide the bulb. Based on initial use I'm pretty happy with them.
