The install was confusing at first because my previous lighting was utilizing a different portion of the can to hang the outer rim. After about 15 minutes I eventually figured out where to place the hooks.
With that said, this was perhaps the easiest, and best lighting upgrade I have seen and anyone can do it. After comparing all the in-can LED lighting upgrades on the market, the Glimpse LED downlight was the most affordable, easiest to install, and had on-par quality lighting. |

Light was easy to install. Had to replace old dimmer with new one made for LEDs. Some flickering at medium intensity, adjusting dimmer eliminates flicker. Will not turn on at low intensity, have to increase intensity at dimmer, turn on and then lower intensity at dimmer. |

Great product. Easy to install. Good product support from the manufacturer - my existing lighting can wasn't on the compatibility list. While not on the list, the Glimpse product installed and works flawlessly. Only real recommendation is to start with a lower lumens rating first. These are very bright... |

interesting concept and quite different than those LED retrofits with the large rear housing, Indeed it does fit in a J-box but just barely. If you have a lot of junctioned wires in the box, if may not fit securely to the ceiling.
The charger unit is not secured well to the lamp and with little disturbance pulls away from its holder. Approximately one second delay upon light-up.
Nevertheless a good solution where a 5 or 6 inch can does not exist/is not feasible. |
