Description

SAVE ENERGY   -   SAVE MONEY   -   PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT   -  SACRIFICE NOTHING!

THE LR6 from Cree Lighting is one of our most popular LED downlights for home or office. It only takes a few minutes to retrofit into most 6” recessed cans and once installed looks so traditional that no one will notice its a LED downlight. The Cree LR6 produces a soft and pleasing floodlight pattern that is easy on the eyes. Available in warm or neutral white.

YOU CAN DIM THE LR6 … but did you know?

The Cree LR6 is dimmable to about 25% and compatible with most standard dimmers, however some brands and models of dimmers will give a wider range and smother performance than others. Warning!! This LED downlight is so energy efficient, drawing only 10.5 watts, that you’ll need to make sure that the dimmer you choose has a minimum wattage rating to recognize a load so small, or that there are enough LR6’s on the dimmer circuit to add up to what your dimmer needs.

IS THE CREE LR6 SAFE TO USE IN A DAMP BATHROOM?

Yes! The Cree LR6 is “UL damp rated” so it can be used in bathrooms, covered porches and other areas where it might be exposed to high humidity or extreme indirect moisture.

HOW BRIGHT IS IT … really?

Cree says it’s as bright as a 65 watt incandescent (BR30), but most of our customers swear it’s as bright as the 75W-90W bulb that they replaced! To even our most demanding customers, this product never disappoints.

WHITE LIGHT … But GREEN too?

Not only does the LR6 from Cree Lighting use less energy but it is also made of 100% recycled aluminum, the CREE LR6 contains no lead and is RoHS compliant. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. It is closely linked with the Waste Electrical and Electrical Equipment Directive (WEEE) 2002/96/EC which sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for electrical goods and is part of a legislative initiative to solve the problem of huge amounts of toxic e-waste.

WANT MORE GREEN?

If you use the CREE LR6 six hours per day you will have ALL of your investment back in roughly 3-5 years (depending on your utility rates) and will bank another $300 savings over the life of the product! That’s a lot of GREEN!

5 Star Rating Cree LR6
We have had the Cree LR6 lights in our kitchen for over a year and love them. The light is warm & inviting & turns on instantly. We just installed them in our basement and noticed instantly how much more light they produce than incandescents (65w). We put 7 lights in the basement on a dimmer but it is only able to dim a little bit, too much will either totally turn off or work for awhile but then have occasional light spasms. Our solution was simply to remove a light.

5 Star Rating CREE LR6 Retrofit
I replaced ten 65 watt incandescent lamps in 6 inch cans with 10 of the CREE LR6 2700K lamps. The installation was incredibly simple. The first lamp took about 10 minutes and the subsequent lamps took 5 minutes each to replace. Instructions were accurate and excellent. The light from these lamps is brighter than 65 watt incandescents or the CFL equivalents with no yellow cast that the CFLs have. I highly recommend the CREE LR6 lamps to anyone looking to retrofit 6" ceiling cans.

5 Star Rating The exceptional Cree LR6
I'm very picky about light quality and I've always hated CFLs. I recently discovered the Cree LR6 and was instantly hooked. Don't be fooled into thinking that a 92 CRI out of 100 means 92% as good as an incandescent. It doesn't mean that at all. After hours of A/B tests, I've concluded that the light from the LR6 is actually superior to incandescents - more vibrant colors and more pleasant light. The LR6 is really quite exceptional.

4 Star Rating CREE LR6 Warm White
I looked around for LED and liked the reviews they are getting and I can say we like them. I switched from 75 watt halogen bulb to these as a test. They don't even get warm! The light is good enough for us, because we didn't like the CFL bulbs. We are putting up 16 solar panels this year and need to get to zero on the bill. These LEDs will help us get there.

5 Star Rating Bright and easy to install
I wouldn't hesitate to install more of these Cree LR6's if I had places to put them. They are extremely easy to install. I used a light meter to compare with the 60 watt bulbs that these replaced, and discovered that for 12 watts, the LR6 has about 150% of the useable light output of the 60 watt incandescent. The light has a warm, pleasant color, too.
