Description

SAVE ENERGY  ; -   SAVE MONEY   -   PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT  -  SACRIFICE NOTHING!

THE LR6 from Cree Lighting is one of our most popular LED downlights for home or office. It only takes a few minutes to retrofit into most 6” recessed cans and once installed looks so traditional that no one will notice its a LED downlight. The Cree LR6 produces a soft and pleasing floodlight pattern that is easy on the eyes. Available in warm or neutral white.

YOU CAN DIM THE LR6 … but did you know?

The Cree LR6 is dimmable to about 25% and compatible with most standard dimmers, however some brands and models of dimmers will give a wider range and smother performance than others. Warning!! This LED downlight is so energy efficient, drawing only 10.5 watts, that you’ll need to make sure that the dimmer you choose has a minimum wattage rating to recognize a load so small, or that there are enough LR6’s on the dimmer circuit to add up to what your dimmer needs.

IS THE CREE LR6 SAFE TO USE IN A DAMP BATHROOM?

Yes! The Cree LR6 is “UL damp rated” so it can be used in bathrooms, covered porches and other areas where it might be exposed to high humidity or extreme indirect moisture.

HOW BRIGHT IS IT … really?

Cree says it’s as bright as a 65 watt incandescent (BR30), but most of our customers swear it’s as bright as the 75W-90W bulb that they replaced! To even our most demanding customers, this product never disappoints.

WHITE LIGHT … But GREEN too?

Not only does the LR6 from Cree Lighting use less energy but it is also made of 100% recycled aluminum, the CREE LR6 contains no lead and is RoHS compliant. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. It is closely linked with the Waste Electrical and Electrical Equipment Directive (WEEE) 2002/96/EC which sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for electrical goods and is part of a legislative initiative to solve the problem of huge amounts of toxic e-waste.

WANT MORE GREEN?

If you use the CREE LR6 six hours per day you will have ALL of your investment back in roughly 3-5 years (depending on your utility rates) and will bank another $300 savings over the life of the product! That’s a lot of GREEN!

5 Star Rating Quality light output.
I installed 10 of these in an addition/renovation project at my house. I am very pleased with the quality of light that these produce. My electrician has used other brands of recessed lighting previous and he felt that these were the best quality that he has seen so far. I can't imagine a reason to use traditional recessed lighting.

5 Star Rating Great Lighting
We installed seven of these during a kitchen overhaul. The light output from these units is bright, and diffuse enough to not look like spotlights. The quality of light is obvious when viewed next to a lower-CRI light source like CFL. Colors are true, and you won't get eyestrain. We especially like the dimming feature, and can turn it down to use even less power than the rated 12 watts! Overall, a great buy and something I would purchase again.

5 Star Rating
I'm very delighted with the Cree LR6 lights. They're easy to install, have a very low power consumption, produce more than the stated light output, and include color compensation so the color temperature remains the same over time. I have converted 20 of my incandescent and CFL can lights over to the LR6! My wife and I were so pleased rhat we ordered another 15. We also discovered that the gu24 modle would fit in the Halo short cans.

5 Star Rating Great product
The CREE LED lamp is a great product as it quickly turns on. I used one in my powder room and was amazed on how much light it produced for so little energy used. When I put my Fluke meter on it to check the current draw it was 0.09 Amps which is about a 10th of what a 95 watt bulb would be with no excessive heat or bad mercury. Also it is dimmable to 20% I plan on getting more CREE lights from Polar-Ray as the shipping and communication has been great with them.

5 Star Rating Amazing Lights!
I replaced three recessed lights in my home office with the LR6. I had heard great things about CREE and figured since they are a hometown company (right up the street from where I work), I would give them a try. The light color and quantity is just fantastic. And, as a bonus, after telecommuting under the lights for eight or nine hours, the room is several degrees cooler than when I had incandescents. Pricey, but the best quality LED I have found.
