The DR stands for "Deep Recess". The LR6C-DR650 builds upon the technological breakthroughs of the original LR6C and provides an enhanced aperture appearance. The clean, white flange spans about an inch deeper into the fixture, helping to further shield the light source and reduce unwanted glare. Designed for use with the RC6-12W-GU24, RR6-12W-GU24 or H6-GU24, the LR6C-DR650 can also easily retrofit into existing 6" housings with use of the included GU-24 socket whip adapter. The LR6-DR650 provides higher efficacy and longer life than Compact Fluorescent Lamps with the beautiful light quality that you would expect from an incandescent.
