The CREE LR4E-15 is a 4 inch LED downlight ideally suited for new construction projects. The Cree LR4 assembly shown on this page comes with three components: housing, light engine, and reflector. The LR4E-15 light engine features a warm white color temperature and a 15° shield angle.
YOU CAN DIM THE LR4… but did you know? The Cree LR4 modules are dimmable to approximately 20% with compatible incandescent and electronic dimmers, however some brands and models of dimmers will give a wider range and smother performance than others. Please refer to the dimmer compatability list located in the Downloads secton for further details.
IS THE CREE LR4 SAFE TO USE IN A DAMP BATHROOM? Yes! The Cree LR4 is cETLus listed for damp locations, so it can be used in places like bathrooms, covered porches and other areas where it might be exposed to high humidity or extreme indirect moisture.
HOW BRIGHT IS IT … really? The LR4E-15 produces 515 lumens on only 11 watts with an outstanding color rendering index of 94. Cree states that it's capable of producing similar light levels as a 50W PAR20 or a 65W BR30 bulb.
WHITE LIGHT … But GREEN too? The CREE LR4 LED downlight contains no mercury and is an ENERGY STAR® qualified product. Using lighting products with long lifetimes also decreases the amount of waste going into landfills due to bulb changes.
WANT MORE GREEN? If the CREE LR4 is used six hours per day you will recover ALL of your initial investment in roughly 3-5 years (depending on your utility rates) and will bank appoximately $300 in savings over the life of the product! Now that's a lot of green!
