| Description |
Why buy the Cree CR6? The answer comes down to just one word, efficiency. Every 65 watt bulb replaced with a CR6 LED module saves over 80% on energy costs, runs cool to eliminate additional HVAC usage, and reduces the amount of bulb changes to zero over the lengthy 50,000 life of the bulb. Realistic payback times run as low as two years when the ENERGY STAR® qualified CR6 LED downlight is installed in areas with high light usage, and thousands of dollars in additional energy savings can be realized over the life of the light. All this is accomplished with no sacrifice in light quality or dimmability, especially when compared to compact fluorescent bulbs. The outstanding quality of Crees LED downlights and a 5 year warranty make the decision to switch your home to LED lighting an easy one. |

I purchased 5 of these for my kitchen. I installed one and turned on the lights with an original halogen 65W right next to it. The light output was EXACTLY the same. The dimmed the same too! When dim these light have a whiter color that looks more pleasing than the halogens, which dim to an orange shade of color. I couldn't be more satisfied this these lights. And to think I'm using 55 watts of energy when their on instead of 325 watts is an amazing savings all the way around. |

I recently built a new house and bought 14 CR6's for the high traffic areas in my house: the living room, kitchen and kid's playroom. These lights put off virtually no heat and are low wattage, so this helps on our electricity bill because the lights aren't heating up the house. I would definitely recommend these lights to anyone building or replacing lights. They’re very easy to install-just follow the directions and you can literally install these in less than 5 minutes. |

This is the best incandescent bulb replacement there can be. The color difference is non-existent, the look is fantastic, the installation is easy (watch the video), and its dimming capability is excellent. This is a must if you're replacing the old bulbs with LEDs. |

I really wanted to use these lights since the color temperature is right, life expectancy is great, and the price is right.
Unfortunately this lamp didn't work with my cans at all. Either it was too deep or the friction catch mechanism wouldn't catch.
The Sylvania RT-6 is shallower and uses the standard torsion-spring mounting mechanism that worked in all in my cans. The downside is 35,000 hours life. |

Purchased 9 of these from Polar-Ray. Fast shipping and great price.
They are a little more tricky to install than indicated by CREE inside adjustable can lights. I solved the problem by installing a small sheet metal screw to hold the inner and outer cans inplace so the light could remain flush with the ceiling.
CR6 was recently ranked first by Consumer Reports.
Love the color and the wide light diffusion. |
