| Description |
The RC6 is a recessed housing for new construction designed to accommodate all Cree 6-inch downlights. Its maximum wattage is rated at 12 watts, ensuring the benefits of the low energy consumption are realized in the calculation of energy density for energy code compliance and LEED certification. The RC6 is IC rated, airtight, inherently protected and California Title-24 compliant when ordered with the GU24 socket. |

Since the LR6-DR1000 is GU24-only, getting this can saves the step of changing the socket from Edison to GU24. The only advice I offer is to make sure the rails are well secured and locked - the Cree installation method puts (upward) insertion pressure on the can as you slide the LED into place. |

Used with the Cree LR6C-DR650 which fit perfectly. The quick connectivity is most appealing. The housing fit well onto our drop ceiling grid. I will purchase these again. |

This is the right housing unit for new construction recessed led lights in California. It was easy to install and works, looks great. They are dimmable and title 24 compliant. A much better alternative to flourescent! |

Installation is very easy, but those clips at each corner are bent all the time, and that's something the manufacturer can avoid by more careful packaging. Bending them back into shape is a waste of time. |
